Mr. Muhammad Ali Tabba is the Chief Executive of Lucky Cement Limited, succeeding his late father in 2005. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Yunus Textile Mills Ltd (YTM), a state-of-the-art home textile mill with subsidiaries in North America and Europe. Simultaneously spearheading both these organizations, he also plays a pivotal role in providing strategic vision to ICI Pakistan Limited as its Vice Chairman.
He started his career with Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) – a 'Family run conglomerate’ in 1991. YBG is one of the premier business houses in Pakistan with diversified interests in Building Materials, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Textiles, Automotive and Real Estate Development. Muhammad Ali Tabba was the past Chairman of Pakistan Business Council (PBC), a business advocacy forum comprising of leading private sector businesses. He is the Chairman of Lucky Motors Corporation (formerly KIA Lucky Motors) and Lucky Electric Power Company Limited.
He is the Chairman of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturing Association (APCMA), a regulatory body of cement manufacturers in Pakistan and also the Chairman of Pakistan Textile Council (PTC) in Pakistan, a think tank, advocacy and research based body.
In recognition of his outstanding services and contributions in the social development sector of Pakistan, World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2010 bestowed the title of Young Global Leader (YGL) to Muhammad Ali Tabba. He is also the recipient of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry “Businessman of the Year” Gold Medal Award for 2012- 2013.
With extensive engagements in many Community Welfare Projects, Muhammad Ali Tabba also serves on the Board of Governors at numerous renowned Universities, Institutions and Foundations. He is the Vice Chairman of a not-for-Profit organization, Aziz Tabba Foundation. The Foundation is working extensively in the field of Social Welfare, Education, Health and Housing. The Foundation runs two state-of-the-art Hospitals in Karachi; 170 bed Tabba Heart Institute (THI) which is a dedicated Cardiac Care Hospital and 100 bed Tabba Kidney Institute (TKI), a specialized institution providing comprehensive treatment for Nephro-Urological disorder.
In recognition of his outstanding services and contribution to the business as well as the social development sector of Pakistan, Government of Pakistan has awarded him with Sitara-E-Imtiaz in 2018.
Mr. Muhammad Sohail Tabba one of - Pakistan’s leading business leaders and a philanthropist, leads a conglomerate of businesses and export houses bearing the YBG brand name. His proficient leadership in diverse sectors – textiles, cement, energy, entertainment, real estate and philanthropy - spanning over almost three decades - has earned laurels and accolades for his group and the country.
Being the Chief Executive Officer of Gadoon Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Knits Private Limited and Director of Yunus Textile Mills Limited, Lucky Textile Mills Limited, he has made YBG renowned both locally and globally. The flourishing industries and manufacturing houses have provided employment opportunities to over 15,000 people and are key drivers of the economy.
Mr. Tabba, the Chairman of ICI Pakistan started as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of ICI Pakistan Limited in 2012 and was appointed as Chairman of the Company in 2014. He is also Chairman of NutriCo Morinaga (Private) Limited - the state-of-the-art infant formula Morinaga manufacturing facility, which was established in Pakistan in 2016 as a joint venture with Morinaga Japan and Unibrands. Mr. Tabba’s leadership, personal credibility and strong interpersonal skills have been instrumental to the success of this joint venture.
Mr. Tabba’s relentless energy, his vision, and his ability to think outside the box created LuckyOne Mall which caters versatile group of customers His vision was to provide a world class entertainment facility that would be enjoyed by children of all stratum and income groups and, today Onderland at LuckyOne Mall is children’s favorite entertainment hub.
Besides being the Chairman of Yunus Energy Limited & CEO of Lucky Energy (Pvt.) Ltd, Lucky One Private Limited; he is the Director of Lucky Cement Limited, Lucky Motor Corporation, and several other companies. Mr. Tabba’s strong social presence in the business community led him to become the founding member and first Vice President of the Italian Development Council. He is playing an instrumental role in contributing to the educational landscape of Pakistan by serving on the Board of Governors at Textile Institute of Pakistan. He has also previously served on the board of Hamdard University.
Driven to contribute to the community, Mr. Sohail Tabba is playing a pivotal role as Director of Aziz Tabba Foundation that runs the Tabba Heart and Kidney Institutes besides several other welfare projects. Mr. Tabba’s determination to contribute to the community has metamorphosed the children emergency rooms of the government hospitals and he became Founding Trustee of Childlife Foundation Pakistan in 2012. His altruistic contribution to the healthcare sector of Sindh and Baluchistan has manifested in the treatment of 3.1 million children in ChildLife Emergency Rooms and 4.7 million children in ChildLife Clinics. In the past decade, ChildLife Foundation has evolved extraordinarily and today, 10 contemporary emergency rooms are functioning efficiently in the under resourced hospitals of Sindh and Baluchistan.
Mr. Jawed Tabba has a rich experience in the textile industry and is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Director of a renowned textile mill, Lucky Textile Mills Limited. His untiring efforts helped him acquire deep insight and expertise into export and manufacturing activities. He has been instrumental in managing the textile concerns of the Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) and has transformed Lucky Textile Mills into one of the premier Textile Companies in Pakistan. Lucky Textile Mills is among the top five home textile exporters from Pakistan and it has been a story of rapid expansion and diversification in the textile industry under his leadership and guidance. He is also the Vice Chairman of YBG.
He is on the Board & related sub-committees of Lucky Cement Limited, ICI Pakistan Limited, Gadoon Textile Mills Limited and Lucky Motor Corporation Limited. He is keenly involved in the formulation of vision, strategies & governance structures of these companies.
Mr. Jawed Yunus Tabba is also managing the Real Estate Project Luckyone, which is the Largest Mall in Pakistan. Lucky one is currently touted as a multi-faceted – first of its kind regional shopping mall which has revolutionized the shopping experience in Pakistan.
Socially Mr. Jawed Yunus Tabba is extensively engaged in community welfare projects which include the Aziz Tabba Foundation (ATF), which is working extensively in the field of social welfare, education, health and housing. He is also a Member of Young President Organization (YPO).
Kinshasa native, Mustafa Rawji completed his secondary studies in London and obtained a master's degree in finance in Boston (Babson College). He began his career with Calyon Bank, first in Geneva, then in Paris. In 2002, he supported the creation of. Two years later, he took the initiative to acquire additional international banking experience and joined HSBC in Dubai, where he served for five years as a sales executive in the Corporate, Investment & Merchant Banking department.
In September 2009, he joined RAWBANK as Deputy Secretary General. He successively fulfills the functions of Chairman of the Loans Committee, Head of the Marketing & Communication Department and Chairman of the Quality Committee. At the end of 2013, he was appointed Director of Strategic Development and, in 2014, Vice-Chairman of the Management Committee. In July 2015, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director in charge of support and infrastructure. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of RAWBANK in 2020 and is along with his role as CEO, also serving as a Director on the Board of Directors of Lucky Motor Corporation Limited.
Tariq Iqbal Khan is a fellow member of ICAP, with diversified experience of more than 40 years. He was pivotal in founding the Islamabad Stock Exchange, where he subsequently served as President as well. He has also served as the Member Tax Policy & Co-ordination in FBR, followed by being appointed as Commissioner SECP, where he was instrumental in restructuring the SECP. He also held the charge of Chairman SECP (acting) for a brief period.
He has also served on prominent national level committees like Chairman of Committee for formulation of Take Over law, SECP’s Committee for review of Security and Exchange Ordinance 1969, Committee for formulation of CDC law and regulations, and Prime Minister’s Committee for Revival of Stock Market. He served as the Chairman and MD of NIT for more than 8 years, which played the role of a catalyst in establishing, strengthening and stabilizing the capital markets. Additionally, during this period, he held the office for Chairman and MD of ICP, for almost 5 years. He has served on Boards of many top companies and financial institutions like CDC, Faysal Bank, Bank Al Habib, Askari Bank, GSK, Sanofi Aventis, ICI, BOC, PSO, OGDC, Mari Petroleum, SSGC, Siemens and remained Chairman of SNGPL and ARL etc.
Mr. Imran Tabba has a vast experience in Textile Sector and he is the Executive Director and Joint Chief Executive of Lucky Textile Mills Limited. Mr. Imran Tabba is a key decision maker and manages the administrative function of LTM units located in various parts of Karachi. Mr. Imran Tabba has contributed significantly in the performance of the Board and currently also serves on the Board of Lucky Motor Corporation Limited.
With over 35 years of rich and diversified experience in Pakistan and North America, Mr. Asif Rizvi is a seasoned and accomplished leader. He has been President and CEO of multinational and local companies for the past 20 years, having acquired corporate and Board room experience at the international level. With an Engineering and Management background by education, Asif has successfully established companies and manufacturing operations.
Asif Rizvi is an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He also holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and Bachelors from the NED University of Engineering and Technology. He is the recipient of a Fellowship under the Fulbright Program for the development of mid-career professionals in the United States.
During his Master’s Program he worked on a NASA Funded research project titled “Flame Spread on Thermally Thick Fuels” which was later used to calculate the entry angle for space shuttles re-entering the earth’s atmosphere to minimize flame spread on their exterior.
Asif began his career with the British Oxygen Company in 1982 as a Production Engineer and was Business Manager Welding when he left in 1989 to pursue a Fellowship and MBA in the USA.
On return he joined Toyota-Indus Motor Company in 1990 as the Head of Production & Engineering where his assignment was the setting up of the 33rd Global Toyota Manufacturing Facility. Following this successful assignment, he served as Head of Product Development and later as Director of Marketing.
At the end of 1998, Asif decided to emigrate to North America and settle in Canada where he headed several businesses, including Horn Plastics Inc. in Whitby, Ontario as its President. Over the next 10 years he was keenly involved in the injection molding industry serving customers such as Xerox, Denso, Toyota Gosei, Makita, Magna and Trudell Medical. He also formed a subsidiary in Indianapolis, USA, for the assembly of automotive lighting. In addition, he managed the real estate holding of the Group in Canada.
In 2009, he returned to Pakistan and joined Thal Limited as its CEO. Thal is a diversified conglomerate having several businesses in the Automotive, Packaging and Laminate industries. Over the next several years, Asif was engaged in establishing manufacturing operations for automotive Starters & Alternators and in the formation of a JV Company with Toyota Boshoku of Japan for seat manufacturing, which he also headed as the Chairman and CEO. He successfully entered into franchise agreements with several international companies. In 2013, Asif assumed the responsibility of Vice Chairman, Automotive Group for the House of Habib, overseeing five auto part companies and was a member of the Governing Board of the Group.
Asif joined Kia Lucky Motors Pakistan Limited as its Chief Executive in mid-2017. KIA Lucky Motors is a collaboration between KIA Motor Company, South Korea and the YB Group, formed to establish vehicle manufacturing operations in Pakistan.
Asif has been a member of the Group Committee overseeing the operations of Habib University and a member of the Advisory Committee for the School of Engineering.
Yasser Aleem Sattar joined Lucky Motor Corporation Limited at its inception in 2017. Currently, he is the Chief Operating Officer of the Automotive Division in the Company. He has served as Head of the Peugeot Business, Auto Parts Manufacturing and Customer Experience Departments. This wide experience has enabled him to acquire a deep understanding of end-to-end management of the Company’s processes. His international experience combined with his passion for the industry have significantly contributed to the Company.
Yasser holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Muhammad Faisal is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan having experience of 20+ Years. He started his professional career in 1995 with Ernst & Young, Karachi – Pakistan in ‘Audit and Assurance’ function. Later he joined Nina Industries Limited as General Manager Finance & MIS in the year 2003.
He was associated with Toyota Pakistan (Indus Motor Company Limited) as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary for 8.5 years. At Toyota Pakistan, he was responsible for negotiating Technical Assistance Agreement, Distributorship Agreement, CKD Pricing, Royalty and Technical Fee matters with Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan. He was also responsible for Finance, Accounting, Corporate & Secretarial and Legal Affairs.
Before joining Lucky Motor Corporation as Chief Operating Officer in July 2017, Faisal served as Executive Director and Chief Strategy, Finance & Investment Officer at Lucky Cement Limited where he was responsible for Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, Financial Reporting, Cost Controlling, Treasury, Cash Flow Management, Corporate & Legal Affairs and Investments of the company within and outside Pakistan.
